webnfc.org is a privately held asset of Dodier NFC LLC. General use of this website and utility is subject to basic data gathering and traffic analytics through Cloudflare and our hosting infrastructure to monitor site performance, availability, and security.

1. Analytics & Performance Monitoring (Cloudflare)

To keep webnfc.org fast, reliable, and resilient against automated abuse, we collect and analyze standard web traffic and performance telemetry through Cloudflare. When you load or use the site, the following data is automatically gathered:

Network & Request Data: IP address, country and region, network provider (ASN), request timestamps, requested URLs, HTTP methods, status codes, and bytes transferred.
Device & Browser Information: User-Agent string (browser family, version, operating system, and device type) and HTTP referrer.
Performance & Reliability Metrics: Page load times, cache hit/miss ratios, bandwidth utilization, and connection error rates used to evaluate and improve site performance.

2. Security & Bot Mitigation

We do not run third-party behavioral advertising networks or sell visitor information. However, Cloudflare inspects incoming traffic to filter out malicious crawlers and vulnerability scanners, and may set strictly necessary security or rate-limiting cookies and tokens (such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance) on your browser to verify legitimate traffic.

3. Client-Side NFC & Camera Operations

While site visits and page loads are logged for performance and analytics as described above, your NFC tag payloads stay on your phone:

All Web NFC hardware operations (writing URLs, reading NDEF records, and permanently locking tags) execute locally inside Chrome on your Android device.
NFC tag serial numbers (UIDs) and the URLs or records stored on your tags are never transmitted to Dodier NFC LLC servers.
When you use the optional QR code scanner to populate a URL, camera video frames are processed locally on your device using the browser’s built-in BarcodeDetector API and are never uploaded.
